The Kendall Group, Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join its Kendall Electric sales team. Based in Traverse City, MI, the role supports customers with product information, quotes, and orders while driving sales and building strong relationships across channels.
You will respond to inquiries, process orders, and participate in training sessions to improve product knowledge and service quality. Occasional travel to branches may be required.
The Kendall Group is comprised of eight divisions with 75+ locations in ten states. We serve the Electrical, Automation, Pipe, Valve, and Fitting products, Steam, Lighting, Industrial Controls, and Instrumentation Industries. The company is 100% employee‑owned.
Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, Location Manager or Territory Manager, the Inside Sales Representative is a key member of the Kendall Electric sales team. This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the products or services offered.
Work Experience: 2 years’ customer service, sales or distribution experience.
Education: HS diploma or GED.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or computer systems.
Organization Skills: Excellent work ethic; good verbal and written communication skills.
Cross‑functional Skills: Ability to work well cross‑functionally and manage multiple requests in a fast‑paced environment.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; provide excellent internal and external customer service; experience handling escalated customer requests; negotiation skills.
Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: Ability to see, talk and hear; Ability to sit for 8 hours a day.
Physical Environment: Normal office environment; Travel: Occasional travel to branches or to business‑related functions such as training or seminars.
Work Experience: 2 years’ electrical sales and customer service experience, Eclipse ERP experience.
Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree.
