Job description

The Inside Sales Representative plays a key role in driving Treatt North America’s sales growth across the marketplace. You’ll start by getting to know the business inside and out, from our products and their many applications to our customers and the service philosophy that sets Treatt apart. As you build that foundation, you’ll become the go-to contact for service and technical support, helping our new and small accounts succeed.

What You Can Expect
  • Perform customer service and sales functions for existing and new customers.
  • Manage existing business within the assigned customers and develop new growth opportunities.
  • Provide regular, comprehensive descriptions of sales activity and bi-weekly communication with the Head of Supply Chain Management and Treatt USA support staff (verbal and written reports).
  • Attend the Quarterly Sales meetings and present sales activity and customer updates to the team.
  • Using your findings, prepare research and reports for the Sales Team to support potential product expansion with existing customers and the development of new customer relationships.
  • Maintain solid relationships with customers’ purchasing organizations and interact with customers’ R&D by submitting material on a regular basis and following up on sample submissions.
  • Maintain timely and accurate data input in the JD Edwards global resource planning system and follow customer orders through JD Edwards to proactively identify any issues and promptly communicate them to the customer.
  • Address customer concerns and inquiries regarding orders, product information, pricing, inventory availability and shipping.
  • Complete all necessary documentation, accurately update the JDE resource planning system, and provide production personnel with all necessary order and shipping information and documentation.
  • Liaise with our Regulatory Department to provide customers with requested certifications and documentation such as Kosher certificates.
  • Accurately maintain customer files and various forms of documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain various internal reports.
  • Liaise with various departments—including sales, lab, and production personnel—to ensure the delivery of quality customer service and support.
  • Act in the best interest of Treatt USA and RC Treatt at all times.
  • Manage and track sales orders through Salesforce, ensuring accuracy, timely updates, and effective communication between sales, production, and customer service teams.

All other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Associate’s degree or 5 years of prior experience in a customer‑service business‑to‑business or inside sales role, with experience in the ingredients or food industry.
