Company Overview and the Role:

The Company provides these services to the manufacturing, utility, energy, transportation, chemical, pharmaceutical, engineering, and retail petroleum industries. The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) plays a crucial role in supporting TNS’ rapid growth by consistently reaching out to potential customers and driving new customer acquisition. This role requires a proactive and motivated individual with strong communication skills, who can identify customer needs and offer tailored solutions, positioning TNS as the go-to provider for environmental services. The ISR will work closely with the sales team to manage the current customer base, develop customer relationships, determine additional service opportunities and contribute to the overall success of the sales pipeline.

Reporting to the Director of Sales this is an in-person position reporting to the TNS facility in Greer, SC.

  • Customer Retention and Expansion:
  • Serve as a key point of contact for assigned accounts, building strong customer rapport and promoting long-term retention.
  • Proactively identify and pursue cross-sell and upsell opportunities to increase wallet share within the current customer base.
  • Leverage insights from customer interactions to tailor service offerings and present solutions aligned with evolving needs.
  • Track customer satisfaction and follow up regularly to ensure consistent value delivery and issue resolution.
  • Collaboration with Account Managers:
  • Partner closely with Account Managers to coordinate outreach efforts, align on account strategies, and maximize account potential.
  • Share customer insights and coordinate follow-ups to ensure seamless execution of growth opportunities.
  • Support Account Managers with proposal development, quoting, and service recommendations that drive revenue growth.
  • Sales Development and Opportunity Qualification:
  • Monitor customer activity and identify trigger events that signal upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads for expansion within existing accounts, passing high-value opportunities to Business Development Managers (BDMs) or Account Managers when appropriate.
  • Schedule customer check-ins, needs assessments, or service reviews in coordination with the sales team.
  • Sales Outreach and Communication:
  • Conduct outbound calls and email campaigns to existing contacts, promoting additional TNS services and solutions.
  • Deliver compelling messaging about TNS’ value proposition and how additional services can address customer pain points.
  • Follow up on service delivery and satisfaction, maintaining visibility with customers and surfacing new needs.
  • Follow up calls with sales emails, providing potential leads with high-level information on our lines of business (LOBs), products, and potential use cases.
  • Assist in the development of customer proposals, ensuring they meet the specific needs and requirements of the customer.
  • Reporting and CRM Management:
  • Utilize HubSpot or another CRM program to track and manage customer interactions, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Report on sales activities, lead conversion rates, and other key metrics to the Sales Management.
  • Continuously improve outreach strategies based on data and feedback.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Attend customer meetings, both remote and on-site, to support sales initiatives and build stronger relationships.
  • Travel to customer locations, other TNS facilities/offices, and company meetings as required to support business needs.
  • Take on additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a sales role, particularly in a B2B environment, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM software is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the environmental services industry or regulatory environment is a plus but not required.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and build rapport with customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with a customer-centric approach to sales.
  • High level of motivation and drive, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to close sales transactions and resolve customer concerns positively and efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
