Nucor Corporation in Cofield, NC is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support the Plate group by handling order management, ensuring safety, quality, cost, productivity and profitability objectives are met.

You will work directly with customers and collaborate with Outside Sales, Credit, Production, Quality, Metallurgists and Shipping. Travel occasionally and overtime may be required; a 2-year degree or 4+ years B2B sales experience is preferred. Strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-year business degree with relevant sales/customer service experience or
• 4+ years of extensive B2B sales experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)

Responsibilities

• Handle all facets of order management to provide responsive service
• Collaborate with Outside Sales, Credit, Production, Quality, Metallurgists and Shipping; travel occasionally and work overtime

Basic Job Functions:

The Inside Sales Representative will take care of our customers by executing the Plate group's safety, quality, cost, productivity, and profitability objectives. Inside Sales Representatives work directly with our customers, handling all facets of the order management process. The goal of the Inside Sales Representative is to provide responsive service, build strong relationships, enter accurate orders, offer proactive problem solving and effective communication. This role requires collaboration with the Outside Sales team, Credit, Production,Quality, Metallurgists, and Shipping. Must be willing to travel occasionally and work scheduled and unscheduled overtime. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-year business related degree with relevant experience in sales and customer service or
• 4 or more years extensive B2B sales experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily excel)
• Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field
• Knowledge of steel making and the Steel Industry
