Builders FirstSource, Auburn, WA, is hiring an Inside Sales Representative – Millwork. You will assist retail customers with product selection, pricing, availability, and orders while leveraging millwork knowledge and sales techniques.

The role combines customer service with order processing, quotes, and delivery scheduling. A high school diploma and 6 months of sales experience are required, with commission eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Assist retail customers in person, by phone or email with product selection and pricing.
• Actively engage in selling products and related items, including estimates and quotes for small packages.
• Enter orders into the system and schedule product deliveries.
• Plan and pace work to meet daily, weekly and team goals.
• Coordinate and conduct customer workshops as needed.
• Handle and resolve simple complaints; escalate complex issues.
• Assist with store housekeeping, inventory control and related tasks.
• Adhere to safety procedures and participate in safety meetings.

Auburn, WA

Provides sales and customer service activities primarily related to retail customers utilizing knowledge of sales techniques and industry knowledge.

• Provides customer service primarily to retail customers, via walk-in, telephone or email, including assisting with customer inquiries on product selection, pricing, availability, refunds/exchanges requiring a working knowledge of company products, procedures and practices.
• Actively engages in selling company products/services and related items. Provides material estimates and quotes for small packages (stairs, decks, fences, sheds, etc.).
• Enters orders into system and schedules delivery of products.
• Plans and paces own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals.
• Participates in coordinating and conducting customer workshops.
• Handles and resolves simple customer complaints and forwards more complex issues to more senior staff for resolution.
• Assists with store housekeeping, signage, stocking, inventory control, and other related activities.
• Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and six (6) months sales-related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment / Physical Activity:

• Subject to both typical office environment and outside locations with temperature and weather variations.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds.
• Standing or walking for 80% of the day. Stooping and kneeling throughout the day.
• Occasionally will use hand tools, saws, forklift, pallet jack to assist customers.
• Reaching-extending the hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

In addition to the base wage listed, this position is further eligible to receive commission compensation for earned commissions related to sales of eligible Company products and/or services subject to changes in plan design and documents and in accordance with applicable law. Commissions are based on a percentage of the transactions sold and subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable Commission Agreement.
