Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. in Kennewick, WA seeks an Inside Sales Representative for Millwork to serve walk-in, phone, and email customers with product selection and quotes. You will enter orders, schedule deliveries, and help meet daily productivity goals in a retail environment.

The role includes providing exceptional service, coordinating workshops, handling basic complaints, and supporting inventory and safety practices. Commissions may apply alongside base pay and standard benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to walk-in, phone or email customers and assist with product selection.
• Sell products and provide material estimates/quotes for small packages.

• Plan and pace work to meet productivity goals.
• Coordinate and conduct customer workshops.
• Handle simple complaints; escalate complex issues to senior staff.
• Assist with store housekeeping, stocking, inventory and related activities.
• Observes safety procedures; attend safety meetings.

Now Hiring: Inside Sales Representative - Millwork

Kennewick, WA

• Provides customer service primarily to retail customers, via walk-in, telephone or email, including assisting with customer inquiries on product selection, pricing, availability, refunds/exchanges requiring a working knowledge of company products, procedures and practices.
• Actively engages in selling company products/services and related items. Provides material estimates and quotes for small packages (Doors, Windows, trim, etc.).
• Enters orders into system and schedules delivery of products.
• Plans and paces own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals.
• Participates in coordinating and conducting customer workshops.
• Handles and resolves simple customer complaints and forwards more complex issues to more senior staff for resolution.
• Assists with store housekeeping, signage, stocking, inventory control, and other related activities.
• Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and six (6) months sales-related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment / Physical Activity:

• Subject to both typical office environment and outside locations with temperature and weather variations.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds.
• Standing or walking for 80% of the day. Stooping and kneeling throughout the day.
• Occasionally will use hand tools, saws, forklift, pallet jack to assist customers.
• Reaching-extending the hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

In addition to the base wage listed, this position is further eligible to receive commission compensation for earned commissions related to sales of eligible Company products and/or services subject to changes in plan design and documents and in accordance with applicable law. Commissions are based on a percentage of the transactions sold and subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable Commission Agreement.
