Job summary

Airgas in Lynchburg, VA is hiring an Inside Sales Representative to support the retail store by selling industrial gases, welding supplies, and related equipment to businesses and customers.

You will handle sales paperwork, provide knowledgeable guidance, maintain a neat showroom, assist customers with merchandise and loading cylinders, and cultivate strong customer relationships through effective in-person and phone communications.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or sales.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with order entry systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Analytical thinking to assess customer situations and provide solutions.
• Ability to handle cash transactions and lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sell industrial gases, welding supplies and related equipment to businesses and customers.
• Handle all sales-related paperwork including quotes and customer details.
• Provide insightful answers and expert guidance on suitable equipment and procedures.
• Maintain a neat and orderly showroom and assist customers with merchandise.
• Facilitate loading/unloading of cylinders and cultivate positive customer relationships.
• Communicate effectively in-person and by phone about costs, ordering, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor customer needs and collaboratively manage hardgoods and cylinder levels to reduce emergency deliveries.
