Richards Building Supply is a wholesale building material distributor serving 12 states with over 60 locations. As a family-owned company with 40 years of success, we seek an Inside Sales Representative to guide contractors and industry professionals as a trusted advisor, handling orders and driving service excellence.

This full-time role emphasizes building relationships, promoting products, and delivering exceptional customer experiences while supporting growth and a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Spanish-speaking skills are a strong advantage but not required.
• Willingness to travel overnight (up to 10%).

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them find the right products for their projects.
• Handle inbound and outbound customer interactions—whether over the phone or in-person—ensuring every customer feels valued.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales reps to drive sales and resolve customer needs.
• Process orders, track inventory, and coordinate product transfers to meet customer demands.
• Educate customers on promotions, new products, and industry trends to maximize sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records, process payments, and ensure seamless order fulfillment.
