Job summary

Panametrics Optek Germantown is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Inside Sales Representative to support customer service, quotation preparation, and order entry during a critical integration period. You will ensure accurate data in QuoteWerks and Sage 50 while coordinating with Sales, Operations and Finance.

The ideal candidate holds a technical degree, has ERP experience, and demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar technical field required.
• Experience in customer service, order management, or inside sales support preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Exposure to structured processes or SOX awareness is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer and manage incoming calls on the main customer service line, screen inquiries, and direct to appropriate internal teams.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
• Prepare and revise customer quotations based on inputs from Sales, pricing rules, and product knowledge.
• Convert approved quotations into orders using QuoteWerks.
• Enter and process customer orders in Sage 50, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Route completed orders to order processing or back to Sales when revisions are required.
• Maintain documentation to support transactions and ensure audit readiness.
• Provide backup support to production and order processing teams as needed.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance to resolve order or customer-related issues.
