Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in Syosset, NY is seeking an Inside Sales associate to provide product knowledge on building materials and assist customers with purchases at the counter and over the phone.

You will build relationships, enter orders in the company system, collaborate with Outside Sales and Sales Managers to determine strategic approaches, quote prices, discuss terms, and prepare sales orders and reports. A high school diploma is required; a 4-year degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Taking orders at the sales counter and over the phone.
• Building relationships with customers.
• Enter orders in the company computer system.
• Complete sales orders and tender cash sales.
• Develop product knowledge to assist customers with purchases.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales Reps and Sales Managers on sales strategies.
• Overcome objections of prospective customers.
• Quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare orders/reports.
