Job summary

TDK-Lambda Americas Inc. is seeking a Customer Service / Inside Sales Associate in San Diego, CA. You will manage the order lifecycle, support returns and repairs, and build strong relationships with key customers while partnering with Sales and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required or combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years in customer service, inside sales, order management, or related role.
• Experience with ERP/order-management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Understanding of supply/demand and product movement from factory to customer.
• Familiarity with shipping, carriers, service levels and cost-effective delivery.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer orders and RMAs from initial request to processing and shipment.
• Review orders for accuracy and compliance with terms, contracts, and ISO requirements.
• Enter and maintain orders in the ERP system, assign delivery dates, and provide acknowledgments.
• Monitor order and RMA backlogs to keep products and repairs on schedule.
• Provide proactive order status updates, shipping notices, delays, and changes to customers.
• Coordinate with Sales Representatives to handle expedited orders, cancellations, returns, and changes.
• Develop strong relationships with key customers and understand their business needs.
• Identify process improvements to enhance the customer experience.
• Coordinate new customer setup and required documentation with Finance.
• Support Regional Sales Managers with customer information, reports, and sales needs.
• Respond to nontechnical inquiries via Inside Sales phone line.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations, Logistics and other teams to resolve issues.
