What is a Technical Sales and Service Coordinator?

A Technical Sales and Service Coordinator provides day-to-day support of customer accounts and serves as a primary point of contact between the customer and the company. The role includes providing customer and technical support, planning and optimization for accounts, and developing customer relationships. Responsibilities include handling incoming calls, determining suitable products or services, quoting customers, and following up post-quote to gather feedback, answer questions, and secure purchase orders.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree and at least one year of relevant sales experience (inside or technical sales preferred).

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze customer requirements to recommend suitable products.
  • Create customer proposals complying with company standards and contracts.
  • Prepare configurations, equipment lists, and clarifications for other departments.
  • Act as customer contact for quotations, pricing, scheduling, and shipping, and make pricing decisions.
  • Coordinate expediting activities with other departments to ensure accuracy in pricing, delivery, and invoicing.
  • Enter orders into the system.
  • Make pricing decisions based on established standards.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels within the company, suppliers, and customers.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, standards, and rules.
  • Maintain quality assurance policies in line with ISO standards.
  • Keep work area clean and safe.
  • Attend work punctually and consistently.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience And Education
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in English.
  • At least one year of relevant sales experience required.
  • Familiarity with international shipping regulations is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Good understanding of business math concepts.
  • Extensive knowledge of company systems and software.
Physical and Technical Environment
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, and stoop in an office environment.
  • Ability to travel within the office and shop areas, including walking and climbing stairs.
  • Work in a clean, orderly environment with changing deadlines and strict time constraints.
