Job summary

Cowtown Materials, a SRS Distribution Inc. affiliate in Carrollton, TX, seeks an Inside Sales professional to manage orders, build customer relationships, and develop product knowledge for drywall, insulation, and related building products.

The role collaborates with Outside Sales and management to drive sales and address customer needs. The position emphasizes accurate order entry, sales support, and effective communication across teams to ensure a positive customer experience and timely order

Qualifications

• Must be a team player, demonstrate attention to detail and have good organizational skills.
• Industry/product knowledge a plus
• 1-2 years of experience in a sales or similar role (preferred)
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Taking orders at the sales counter and over the phone.
• Building relationships with customers.
• Ability to use company computer system to enter orders.
• Complete sales orders and tender cash sales.
• Develop product knowledge to assist customers with purchases.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales Reps and Sales Managers to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.
• Overcome objections of prospective customers.
• Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
