Job summary

Capital Electric is seeking an Inside Sales Associate in Ashland, VA to maintain and grow the customer base, provide superior service, and help drive sales and margins across contractor, government, commercial and industrial customers.

Responsibilities include timely quotations, project-order management, order entry, pricing negotiation, and coordination of deliveries while supporting the sales team with customer follow-up. A strong customer-service background and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• 1-2 years counter experience in electrical distribution preferred.
• Solid customer service background required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite; Eclipse knowledge preferred.
• Strong mathematical, verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable, responsible and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, accurate project quotations.
• Provide accurate project management of project orders.
• Handle multiple customer types: contractor, government, commercial, industrial.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors and customers.
• Enter orders for different jobs for different customers.
• Set up certain customers on blankets.
• Follow up on product deliveries.
• Support sales counter activities.
• Maintain courtesy and professionalism with customers.
• Multitask and prioritize daily tasks.
• Perform other duties as required.
