Cummins-Wagner Co. Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Associate in Pittsburgh, PA. You will field customer requests, assess needs, prepare proposals, and support pre- and post-order processes. Strong communication, organization, and a technical aptitude are essential for success.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and 1–2 years of related experience; mechanical/technical background is a plus. The role requires attention to detail, urgency, and customer-focused relationship building.

Job Title: Inside Sales Associate

Job Overview:

Inside Sales Associates are responsible for fielding customer requests (internal & external); assessing the customers’ needs and providing solutions in a timely manner; preparing customer proposals; supporting pre-order and post-order processes; and building relationships with customers and principals. A successful associate will be a motivated individual with a high level of organization and technical expertise to support both internal and external customers. Essential characteristics for this position include excellent oral and written communication skills, teamwork, attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and understanding of the customer experience

Scope of Responsibility:

• Effectively communicate with a broad array of customers, including engineering, maintenance, and purchasing staff.
• Review and evaluate various RFQs & specifications.
• Provide professional and prompt responses via phone, fax, email, in‑person, etc.
• Prepare quotations and proposals, and execute a follow‑up process utilizing company tools and guidelines.

• Maintain customer contact information, per current procedures.
• Provide prompt technical & administrative assistance to all internal customers.
• Develop and maintain product expertise and market understanding.

• Be a role model for constant learning and improvement.
• Occasional travel for training or other business purposes.
• Perform all other duties as assigned
