Job summary

The Synthetic Grass Store in North Phoenix is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to guide customers from first questions to a closed sale and coordinate follow-up to grow the business. You’ll work in a small team, earning an hourly base plus real commission based on sales performance.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, answering inquiries, recommending products, handling POS, and coordinating shipping for out-of-state customers. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in retail, inside sales, or customer-facing role.
• Confident communicator on phone and in person.
• Comfortable with basic math: measurements, area calculations, pricing.

About the Job

The Synthetic Grass Store sells premium artificial turf to homeowners, contractors, and HOAs across the Phoenix area. Customers come to us ready to explore their options, and your job is to guide them to the right product and close the sale. You'll also help grow the business through follow-up, outreach, and occasional cold calling.

We're a small team, so your work is visible and your wins get noticed. You'll earn an hourly base plus real commission, so the more you sell, the more you make.

What You'll Do

• Greet walk-in customers and guide them from first question to closed sale
• Answer inbound calls and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally
• Recommend products based on each customer's project and budget
• Process POS transactions and handle returns per company procedures
• Follow up with prospects and existing customers to close sales and build loyalty
• Build new business through outbound calls, cold outreach, and other approved methods
• Maintain ongoing communication with high-volume and repeat accounts
• Coordinate shipping for out-of-state customers
• Support warranty claims and order concerns with a solutions-first approach
• Participate in home shows and promotional events as needed

What You Need

• High school diploma or GED
• 1–2 years of retail, inside sales, or customer-facing experience
• Confident communicator on the phone and in person
• Comfortable with basic math: measurements, area calculations, and pricing
• Able to read purchase orders, invoices, and inventory documents
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with occasional Saturday mornings

Nice to Have

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (many of our customers and contractors prefer Spanish)
• Experience in landscaping, construction, or the artificial turf industry
• Familiarity with QuickBooks or a similar business system
• Associate degree or higher
