Job summary

Turtle in Upstate New York seeks an experienced Inside Sales Associate to grow and manage accounts, sell and promote products, and pursue new business opportunities.

You will build relationships, quote products, and coordinate with internal teams to support customers. Some travel within the territory is required; a valid driver's license is preferred. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Industrial/Commercial experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in at least one sales area: Industrial, OEM, Automation, Lighting, Power Distribution, Commodities, Energy.

Responsibilities

• Selling, marketing, promoting, and demonstrating products.
• Growing business by selling to new customers and additional products to existing customers.
• Identify customer objectives and applications to tailor solutions.
• Process product quotations and follow up through purchasing cycle.
• Travel within the assigned territory is required; valid driver’s license and good driving record.

About the Role

TheInside Sales Associatewill exhibit a positive, friendly and helpful attitude with customers, have the ability to manage and grow existing accounts, and pursue new business accounts.

What You'll Do

• Selling, marketing, promoting, and demonstrating products


• Increasing business by generating sales to new customers and by selling additional products to existing customers


• Pursuing product applications by utilizing personal knowledge, internal specialist/resources, vendor representatives and other available sources.


• Establishing and maintaining customer relationships.


• Learning and evaluating customer operations to aid in identifying customer objectives, requirements, and preferences.


• Processing product quotations in conjunction with inside sales counterparts and provide continuous follow up throughout the completion of the customer’s purchasing cycle.


• This position will require some travel within an assigned territory. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have a current driver’s license and good driving record.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.


• Ship to shore crane knowledge


• Excellent negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to drive decisions with influence.


• Lighting and Gear product and application knowledge essential.
