We're looking for a high-performing Account Manager who will serve as a critical conversion engine for School Outfitters.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong consultative selling skills with urgency, persistence, organization, and a genuine commitment to the customer. Success means more than answering an inquiry or creating a quote—it means owning the opportunity through the buying process and driving it toward an order.

What You’ll Own
Revenue and Sales Performance
  • Own an annual individual sales goal of $8 million or more and consistently work toward achieving or exceeding revenue expectations.
  • Turn inbound customer demand into completed sales by actively managing leads from phone calls, online forms, quote requests, email inquiries, marketing activities, existing customers, and other assigned sources.
  • Take ownership of opportunities from initial engagement through order placement, improving quote-to-order conversion and overall close rates.
  • Confidently ask for the order, create appropriate urgency, and identify opportunities to increase value through products, services, installation, delivery, contracts, and other School Outfitters solutions.
Consultative Selling and Opportunity Development
  • Conduct effective discovery conversations to understand customer needs, project requirements, budgets, timelines, decision-making processes, and purchasing objectives.
  • Recommend solutions that align with customer requirements, address barriers to purchase, and provide value beyond the initial inquiry.
  • Maintain consistent, purposeful follow-up until the opportunity is won, lost, or appropriately dispositioned.
  • Prioritize sales activity based on opportunity value, customer intent, likelihood to purchase, timing, and revenue potential.
Customer Retention and Relationship Growth
  • Build strong, lasting customer relationships that encourage repeat business and long-term loyalty to School Outfitters.
  • Develop an understanding of customer organizations, purchasing patterns, priorities, and future needs.
  • Reconnect with previous customers, expand existing relationships, and position School Outfitters as a trusted resource.
  • Educate customers on School Outfitters products, services, capabilities, contracts, and solutions to uncover future opportunities.
How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Generate $8 million or more in annual sales revenue.
  • Improve quote-to-order, lead-to-order, and lead-to-quote conversion.
  • Increase customer retention, repeat business, and long-term relationship growth.
  • Create momentum by taking ownership, following through, asking for the business, and finding additional opportunities.
  • Strengthen the overall customer experience while converting demand into revenue.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of sales experience with demonstrated success achieving or exceeding individual revenue goals.
  • Proven ability to manage a high volume of sales opportunities and convert customer interest into revenue.
  • Strong consultative selling, discovery, negotiation, objection-handling, and closing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and retain customer relationships.
  • Strong sense of urgency and personal accountability for results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to analyze performance and adjust sales activity to improve results.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, customer-focused sales environment.
  • Experience with AI solutions preferred.
Schedule
  • Monday-Friday, 9:00am to 6;00pm
