Essential Functions
- Outbound calling/selling to new and existing customers.
- Handle customer calls for electric motors, controls, drives, and accessories.
- Review technical specifications and quote accordingly.
- Assist customers with technical questions on the products L&S represents.
- Attend training courses both online and possible in person.
- Coordinate large projects to ensure technical requirements are met.
- Checks stock and enter orders into the system.
- Contact suppliers regarding price and delivery times.
- Quote customers – both verbal and formal quotes.
- Occasionally call on customers with outside sales representatives, dependent on location.
- Follow up with customers and suppliers on quotations and orders.
- Expedite orders with suppliers.
- Maintain daily CRM system.
- Enter direct purchase orders with suppliers.
- Manage freight expenses on a per order basis.
- Review and recommend inventory levels based on customer needs.
- Work in both customer portals and vendor portals.
- Attend internal and external training.
- Assist customers with damaged product, fill out RMA paperwork and credit information.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years inside sales experience.
- Familiar with electric motors, drives, and controls.
- Minimum 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience and aptitude.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in distribution.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Willingness to make outbound sales calls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of and able to use proper phone etiquette.
- Above average communication skills (oral, written).
- Computer literate; above average keyboard skills.
- Able to interact with people in a professional manner.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Fluent in English (verbal, written).
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekday and weekends to meet customer service requirements.
- This is an in office position located in Schofield, Wisconsin.
