Job summary

Global Compressor LP in Houston, TX, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to highlight advantages of products and services and present solutions for customers in the natural gas compression industry. You will build relationships, support external sales, and manage house accounts while pursuing sales goals.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years experience or training, and a valid driver’s license; completion of internal GCS Inside Sales training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training.
• Successful completion of GCS Inside Sales training program.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to complete tasks, assignments, and impromptu projects in safe, high-quality, and effective manner.
• Ability to receive, follow, and interpret instructions in various formats (written, verbal, diagram).
• Ability to work professionally and effectively with customers and other employees.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates urgency, attention to detail and a positive attitude in every task performed.
• Develops meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty.
• Works as a team with outside sales to service our external customers.
• Actively manages assigned house accounts.
• Follows up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process.
• Sets and meets sales goals and objectives set by leadership.
• Discusses use and features of various parts and services.
• Reads catalog or computer for replacement part stock number and price.
• Prepares quotes for external customers and outside sales.
• Completes sales orders for external customers and outside sales.
• Advises customer on substitution or modification of part when replacement is not available.
• Receives and fills telephone orders for parts.
• Administer shop repair jobs and parts requirements.
• Maintain warranty and factory repairs with vendors.
• Responsible for After hours' callout duty
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
