Job summary

Indiana Farmers Insurance is seeking an Inside Property Claims Representative II to investigate and resolve moderately complex property claims, including personal, commercial, and farm exposures. You will interpret policy coverage, evaluate damages, and communicate clearly with members and partners to manage expectations.

The role supports a flexible work arrangement—remote, hybrid, or onsite—and offers the chance to advance within a values-driven claims team focused on fair, timely decisions

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of property claims experience.
• Experience investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving property claims.
• Ability to interpret third-party inspection documentation and develop accurate repair estimates using Xactimate.
• Strong knowledge of insurance concepts and coverage interpretation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency working independently and managing time.
• Farm property exposure experience preferred.
• Xactimate or similar estimating software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate property losses with adjusters and inspections to determine coverage and resolution.
• Handle claims from first notice to settlement with reserve management and payments.
• Review third-party reports and prepare accurate estimates.
• Communicate clearly with members, agents, and vendors.
• Support claims team and participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
• Prepare reports and stay current on trends and applicable law.
