Job summary

SMS is seeking an Inside Plant Technician to operate, maintain and improve telephone equipment and ancillary systems at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role involves sitting for long periods, occasional lifting, and travel to remote and customer sites on the installation.

A valid driver’s license and security clearance are required, along with CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification. The SMS team supports federal agencies and provides training and tools to keep critical missions

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and perform on telephone equipment and related systems.
• Handle phone calls for telephone support and repair.
• Complete work orders for moves, adds and changes of telephone services.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and installation activities.
• Coordinate with customers and other contractors as needed.
