Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in New London, CT is seeking an Inside Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC lathes, mills, and various multi-axis machines used in submarine fabrication. You will perform precision measurements and complete documentation to ensure quality and conformance with engineering specs.

Qualified candidates typically have a high school diploma or GED and 0–5 years of CNC experience, with the ability to work all shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma, GED, or have 2+ years related technical experience.
• 0-5 years of experience with CNC Machining set-up, Programming, or Operating Machines
• Must be able to work all shifts
• Technical School education preferred

Responsibilities

• The setup and machining of components on manual and CNC lathes, mills, Horizontal Boring machines, multi axis machining centers, wire EDM etc.
• Precision measurement of part dimensions.
• Completion of hard-copy and electronic documentation.
• Work with little to no supervisory experience.

Job Responsibilities

You must be able to work and train on all shifts.
