Job summary

Pilot John International is seeking a driven Sales Aviation Specialist I to join our inside sales team in Greenville, NC. After completing the trainee program or with equivalent experience, you’ll own a pipeline, handle inbound opportunities, and build lasting customer relationships across the aviation industry.

This quota-carrying, individual-contributor role works with FBOs, MROs, flight departments, and maintenance teams, focusing on reseller accounts and growing end-user support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1–2 years in sales, customer service, or aviation-related field.
• Experience in outbound prospecting and new business development.
• Strong written and verbal communication across diverse audiences.
• Comfortable in a metrics-driven environment with defined activity and revenue targets.
• Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
• Willingness to travel for PJi business as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an active pipeline to meet or exceed quota.
• Meet activity targets for calls, emails, and prospect conversations.
• Prioritize new business accounts from marketing and lead sources.
• Conduct structured discovery to understand needs, budget, and timeline.
• Prepare accurate quotes for reseller accounts and end-user requests.
• Negotiate terms and move opportunities toward close; target orders per week.
• Expand revenue within existing accounts through upsell and cross-sell.
• Maintain accurate records in the PJi ERP and provide forecasts.
