Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Auto Claim Professional who will inspect, estimate, negotiate, and evaluate auto damage claims. The role covers basic to moderate physical damage, including collision and related coverage, with some rental and towing responsibilities.

The position requires a high school degree or GED, experience in auto damage estimation or trainee program completion, and strong knowledge of auto repair, terminology, and claims systems.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• One year experience estimating auto damage or completion of appraiser trainee program.
• Experience with insurance carrier is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of auto repair and terminology.
• Windows proficiency including Excel and Word.
• Ability to negotiate effectively and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent service quality across the claim life cycle.
• Review physical damage documents for accuracy.
• Negotiate with repair facilities on damage revisions.
• Prepare and document vehicle damage appraisals and values.
• Electronically audit vehicle estimates using approved tools.
• Negotiate settlements and payments with customers and facilities.
• Determine settlements for total loss when applicable.
• Collaborate with the assigned Claim Professional to resolve claims.
