Job summary

RR Donnelley in Thurmont, MD is seeking a skilled machine operator to join our printing and mail insertion team. You will set up and adjust high-speed inserting machines, monitor production, and ensure efficient operation across 12-hour day or night shifts.

You will train other employees, perform routine adjustments, and help maintain quality and safety standards. Compensation includes base pay of $17.60 per hour, possible overtime and shift differentials, plus benefits and 401(k) with match.

Qualifications

• Experience operating high-speed inserting or similar printing equipment.
• Ability to read setup instructions and adjust machinery accordingly.
• Familiar with safety protocols and quality checks.

• Operate high speed machines that insert printed matter, such as letters or booklets into folders or envelops
• Set up and adjust the machine to operate efficiently
• Oversee and make adjustments as necessary

• Requires knowledge of standard set ups, adjustments and operating characteristics of the equipment and skill to perform standard adjustments and operate the equipment
• Ability to set up, operate, and perform basic adjustments to the equipment according to the individual job requirements, operating characteristics, and capabilities of the equipment
• Typically, the adjustments performed at this level are routine and the need for such adjustments are readily apparent

Therate of pay for this role at the noted location is $17.60/ hour. In addition to base pay, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
