Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Inpatient Wound Care at St. Rita's Medical Center. This PRN opportunity provides involvement in acute care wound management with a focus on high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, wound care planning, medication administration, and collaboration with the care team to achieve expected outcomes. Requires active RN licensure in Ohio and BLS; WOCN eligibility within 3 years is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of Ohio or eligible for RN licensure
• BSN/ASN from accredited program; current CPR/BLS required
• Wound care certification or willingness to obtain (WOCN/WWC) within 3 years

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to plan and implement patient care
• Monitor and document patient status; collect vitals and administer IV meds
• Assess wounds (staging, photographing) and update care plans as needed
• Administer medications safely per policies and state regulations
• Provide high-quality patient education and ensure a safe environment
