Job summary

Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center is seeking an inpatient Registered Nurse to assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. The RN will administer medications, monitor patient responses, and advise on health maintenance and prevention.

Applicants must be licensed as an RN, have BLS, and obtain ACLS certification before orientation end.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or multi-state license valid in Pennsylvania.
• BLS certification required before orientation completion.
• ACLS certification required before end of orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs and develop nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and report patient status and changes.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention when appropriate.
