UCI Health, the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine, seeks a clinical nurse to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans for a defined patient group. You will assess, plan, intervene, and advocate for patients across the continuum of care, participate in discharge planning, and mentor students and new nurses on the unit.

The role requires 2+ years of inpatient nursing in adult acute care, 1+ year telemetry experience or EKG training, and

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 2 years recent inpatient nursing in adult acute care.
• 1 year telemetry experience or completion of EKG class.
• External candidates must have BSN.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong English reading/writing and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement a plan of care for a specific patient group.
• Assess, plan, intervene and advocate for the patient across the continuum of care.
• Evaluate outcomes, plan effectiveness and readiness for discharge; revise plans or refer as needed.
• Act as a role model and mentor to students and nurses on the unit; function as a Patient Care Coordinator upon request.
