Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Full-Time Inpatient Pharmacy Sterile Compounding Technician to support the Sterile Compounding team at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. Ideal candidates have sterile compounding experience and Nebraska Board registration.

Qualifications

Minimum age 18.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Registered as a pharmacy technician with the State of Nebraska Board of Pharmacy required.
Pharmacy Technician Certification within 12 months of licensed date required.
Internal Aseptic Technique training completed within two weeks of hire required.

Responsibilities

Perform sterile compounding according to policy and regulations including USP 797 and USP 800.
Maintain competency in equipment and programs related to sterile compounding.
Participate in medication management for pharmacy compounding, including ordering, receiving and maintenance.
Troubleshoot equipment, hardware, and software issues related to compounding.
Document cleaning and monitoring activities for sterile areas.
Perform calculations to validate activities with accuracy.
Work with the team to triage and respond to compounding needs.
Maintain ongoing didactic and practical training for sterile compounding.
