Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Sterile Compounding Technician for a full-time role at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. Ideal candidates will have sterile compounding background and Nebraska Tech license requirements.

The position follows First Shift hours with start times around 5:30 AM to 3:00 PM, and includes every third weekend. Educational support and advancement opportunities are provided by the hospital, with strong team collaboration and patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age
• High school education or equivalent
• Registered as a pharmacy technician with the State of Nebraska Board of Pharmacy
• Pharmacy Technician Certification within 12 months of licensed date
• Internal Aseptic Technique training completed within two weeks of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform sterile compounding according to policy and regulations including USP 797 and USP 800
• Maintain competency in use of equipment and programs related to sterile compounding
• Participate in medication management for pharmacy compounding, including medication and supply ordering, receiving, and maintenance
• Troubleshoot equipment, hardware, and software issues relating to compounding
• Maintain ongoing didactic and practical training related to sterile compounding

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Registered Pharmacy Technician with Nebraska Board of Pharmacy

Pharmacy Technician Certification within 12 months of licensure date

Internal Aseptic Technique training within two weeks of hire
