Job summary

Logan Health Medical Center in Kalispell, Montana, is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join the Inpatient Team. You will evaluate, plan, and implement treatment for communication, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders.

This role emphasizes evidence-based, patient-centered therapy in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams, with documentation compliant to payer and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Montana Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligible to obtain before hire).
• CPR/BLS certification within seven days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years experience preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Collaborative mindset and patient care focus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and implement treatment for communication, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy in partnership with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Perform assessments, establish goals, and document progress per payer and regulatory requirements.
• Educate patients and families to support continued progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in departmental initiatives and quality improvement projects.

What You’ll Do:

• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs for patients with communication, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders.
• Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered therapy in partnership with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, establish functional goals, and document progress in compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers to support continued progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in departmental initiatives, quality improvement projects, and programs that enhance rehabilitation services across the continuum of care.

What You’ll Bring:

• Current Montana Speech/Language Pathology License (required) or obtained prior to hire date
• CPR/BLS within seven (7) days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever comes first, required.
• Two (2) years of experience in speech-language pathology preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for patient care and continuous learning
