Job summary

WellSpan Health seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for the Inpatient Acute Care team. The role involves evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, hearing and swallowing disorders, working with an interdisciplinary team, and providing education to patients and staff.

Position is PRN with day and weekend shifts. Applicants must have a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP or strong clinical fellowship, and current licensure and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• CCC-SLP credential or strong clinical fellowship is required upon hire.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Basic Life Support are required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Examines, tests, diagnoses and administers remedial treatments for speech, language, hearing and swallowing disorders.
• Performs evaluations with focus on receptive/expressive language, articulation and swallowing.
• Provides patient and family instructions for continuation of therapy.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to achieve established goals.
• Supervises Rehab Aides as required by PA practice act.
