Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a PRN role with weekend rotation. The position focuses on delivering therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities for acute and outpatient patients.

Candidates must have a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology and NC licensure, with BLS required within 30 days and ACLS/PALS within six months. Prior experience is preferred and responsibilities include documentation and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Must hold a North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology license.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and team; assist with scheduling and charting.
• Document patient care per Lifepoint requirements, regulations and payer rules.
• Instruct family or nursing staff on follow-through programs.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe, clean condition.
• Make presentations to support marketing efforts and team conferences.
• Adhere to the Company's Code of Conduct and applicable laws.
