Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose and treat disorders of speech, language, swallowing and cognition. You will educate families and caregivers and collaborate with care teams to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include mentoring students and new hires, participating in meetings, and driving continuous improvement. Commitment to licensure, BLS, and ongoing professional development is required.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Communication Disorders/Speech Language Pathology, or equivalent.
  • Current licensure in state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • ASHA CCC is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates, diagnoses and treats speech, language, cognitive communication, voice and swallowing disorders.
  • Consults, educates and trains patients, families and caregivers.
  • Collaborates with care teams to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Mentors and supervises students and new hires.
  • Participates in patient care conferences and interdisciplinary meetings.
  • Engages in continuous improvement within the Intermountain Operating Model.
  • Promotes Intermountain Health mission, vision and values.
  • Meets productivity/efficiency standards for the department.
  • Seeks continuing education opportunities for self and staff.
