Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat disorders of speech, language, cognition, voice and swallowing. You will consult with patients, families and caregivers and collaborate with care teams to deliver patient-centered care.

The role emphasizes education, mentoring, and adherence to Intermountain guidelines. The position requires a Master’s in Communication Disorders or SLP, state licensure, and BLS; CCC by ASHA is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Communication Disorders or SLP.
  • Current licensure in state of practice.
  • BLS for healthcare providers.
  • ASHA CCC preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides skilled, quality clinical services with goals, duration and intensity.
  • Complies with documentation, billing and working hours guidelines.
  • Maintains clear communication with peers, patients and caregivers.
  • Mentors and supervises students and new hires.
  • Participates in care conferences and interdisciplinary meetings.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement within Intermountain Operating Model.
  • Promotes Intermountain Health mission, values and service standards.
  • Meets productivity standards for the department.
  • Engages in continuing education opportunities per licensure requirements.
