Job summary

WestCare in Miami seeks a dynamic Director of Inpatient Services to oversee the CSU, Detox, and Short-Term Residential units, ensuring safe, regulatory-compliant operations and strong nursing leadership.

You will collaborate with the Medical Director and interdisciplinary teams, drive quality improvement, staffing, and training, and manage budgets while maintaining high patient safety and care standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field is required
• Six years of nursing experience, two in psychiatric nursing
• One year of nursing supervisory experience
• Ability to meet DCF/background check requirements and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations for CSU, Detox, and Short-Term Residential programs
• Collaborate with psychiatric providers on co-occurring medical/psychiatric conditions
• Ensure documentation meets agency, regulatory, and funding-source standards
• Provide daily supervision to RNs, BHTs, Discharge Planner, and LPN
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and staff development
• Develop and monitor corrective action plans and safety protocols
• Contribute to budget development and resource planning
• Serve as liaison with community and represent WestCare/TVS when required
