Job summary

Jobtome is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within SRMC Inpatient Surgical (5-S). The role involves clinical leadership, relief charge duties, and adherence to hospital policies.

Responsibilities cover Neonate through Geriatric care, with medication administration and collaborative patient care planning. The position emphasizes patient safety, ongoing professional development, and documentation accuracy in a fast-paced surgical unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of nursing program and RN licensure in NM or per reciprocal agreement.
• Bachelor’s degree considered nonessential.
• Nationally accredited nursing program graduation is preferred.
• Nursing as a field of study is listed as nonessential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care following the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Provide clinical leadership and assume relief charge duties when designated.
• Promote a positive work environment and ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
• Care for Neonate to Geriatric age groups as assigned.
• Administer medications, including IV meds, adhering to the Seven Rights and documenting findings.
• Assist with tests, procedures, and emergency measures as needed.
• Document and communicate clinical information; maintain accurate medical records.
