Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking an inpatient Registered Nurse to deliver professional nursing care using the nursing process. This role requires novice level skills, with accountability for self and delegated care in an inpatient setting.

Minimum qualifications include RN license and BLS within 30 days; less than 12 months of RN experience. A BSN is preferred, with opportunities for growth and adherence to ANA ethics and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state where services are provided or a multi-state license via eNLC.
• Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• Less than 12 months of experience as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in an inpatient hospital setting using the nursing process.
• Create and document plan of care, assess patient data and outcomes.
• Maintain patient safety, perform assessments, and educate patients based on needs.
• Apply evidence-based practice and participate in patient-centered care models.
• Accept accountability for delegated nursing care and collaborate with the interprofessional team.
