Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking an RN Level I to provide direct nursing care in an inpatient setting. You will use the nursing process, demonstrate advanced beginner level knowledge, and deliver care with independent judgment.

The role requires a current RN license (state or eNLC multistate) and BLS within 30 days. One year of RN experience and a BSN preferred are noted in the qualifications.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state where services will be provided or multistate RN license through eNLC.
• Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Modifies patient’s plan of care based on data collection and patient’s individual needs.
• Uses evidence-based practice to provide patient care.
• Delegates according to scope of practice.
• Verifies the plan of care with interprofessional colleagues, patient, and caregiver(s).
• Provides education based on learning needs and involvement of family.
• Promotes effective communication among interprofessional team members & healthcare consumers.
• Influences policy to promote safe patient care.
• Utilizes resources in providing care, especially in sensitive situations.
