Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking an RN Level I to deliver professional nursing care in an inpatient setting. The role requires applying nursing process, independent nursing judgment, and collaboration with the care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.

Minimum qualifications include an active RN license, BLS within 30 days, and at least 1 year of RN experience. A BSN is preferred, with opportunities to advance through the CAPE ladder.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of RN experience.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Modifies patient’s plan of care based on data collection and patient’s individual needs.
• Uses Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) to provide patient care.
• Delegates according to scope of practice.
• Verifies the plan of care with interprofessional colleagues, patient, and caregiver(s).
• Provides education based on learning needs and involvement of family.
