Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in a full-time role at our Hopewell, NJ campus. You will provide high-quality patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and effective treatment.

The position requires an Associate's degree in Nursing, NJ RN licensure, BLS, and various specialty certifications based on unit assignment. You will participate in discharge planning, education, and performance improvement

Qualifications

• Associate degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Previous nursing experience preferred.
• AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider, Registered Nurse - NJ.
• TNCC and 8 hours of Trauma CNE if ICU/CCU or ED assignment.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (or obtain by orientation end) with 8 hours Stroke CNE if ICU/ED/Neuro units.
• ACLS (or obtain within 6 months) for specified units.
• PALS (or obtain within 6 months) for specified roles.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and hospital standards.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality care to patients through nursing process steps (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Assures patient safety by following policies and procedures.
• Provides pain management support and patient/family education on comfort measures.
• Performs discharge planning to enable meaningful post-discharge activities.
• Ensures effective handoff communications and coordination among health care team.
• Participates in performance improvement and Joint Commission readiness activities.
• Flexible staffing planning and participation in unit committees.
