Job summary

OakLeaf Surgical is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Unit. The role focuses on post-surgical and medical-surgical care, coordinating treatment plans, and discharge planning.

Responsibilities include administering medications, educating patients and families, and ensuring safety and infection control. The position requires Wisconsin RN licensure, ADN, BLS, with ACLS/PALS within six months, and 2+ years hospital experience.

Qualifications

• ADN required; WI RN license; BLS at hire; ACLS/PALS within six months
• 2+ years hospital medical/surgical experience preferred
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including medications and treatments
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge instructions
• Coordinate care with healthcare team and discharge planning
• Monitor and operate medical equipment and ensure infection control
• Document care accurately and promptly; participate in on-call rotation
• Collaborate with disciplines to determine plan of care and safety
• Cross-train to other nursing departments as needed
