Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Enrolled in an approved Respiratory Care Program; ongoing enrollment.
• New graduates may obtain credentials within 1 year of graduation.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine airway assessment and monitor bedside equipment.
• Record patient care in the electronic medical record.
• Replace disposable bedside equipment per guidelines.
• Stock department equipment and communicate reorder needs.
• Perform additional duties after proper training.
