Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to join our team to care for a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have inpatient hospital experience or a willingness to learn.

The RCP performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures, maintains equipment, and may provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required across our hospital settings.

Qualifications

• Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
• Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada.
• For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.
• Minimum one year of clinical respiratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order.
• Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required.
• Supports patient care across inpatient hospital settings.

State license to practice respiratory care

BLS certification

ACLS certification

High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree preferred
