Sheltering Arms Institute in Richmond, VA is seeking a Rehab Tech to join the inpatient team. Under the direct supervision of a therapist, the Rehab Tech provides patient care and assistance including, but not limited to, patient transport, ADLs, transfers, strengthening, mobility, ambulation, supervision, and meals, and assisting with instrumental swallowing assessments as needed.

• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation is a plus.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare professionals CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a therapist, the Rehab Tech provides patient care and assistance including patient transport, ADLs, transfers, strengthening, mobility, ambulation tasks, supervision and assistance with meals.
• Assists with instrumental swallowing assessments as needed.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment and supports therapists through direct care and delegated tasks.
• May rotate clinical areas.
