Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake in Webster, TX is seeking a PRN Inpatient Rehabilitation Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care on the Rehabilitation Unit.

You will assess and plan care, collaborate with the care team, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement activities. The role requires Texas RN license, BLS, and rehab experience, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
• Current BLS Certification are required.
• 1-year of clinical Rehab experience as a licensed RN required

Responsibilities

• Assess, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients.
• Meeting the Standards of Practice for the Rehabilitation Unit and managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment.
• Participate in activities to plan, measure, asses and improve the quality of patient care.
• Instructs patients/families regarding the disease process.
• Responsible for additional admission paperwork specific to the Rehabilitation Unit.
• Participate in weekly patient care conferences, as needed.
• Assume the responsibility of charging the unit, as needed.
