Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland is seeking an Inpatient Rehabilitation Registered Nurse PRN to join its acute care team in Texas City. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in the Rehabilitation Unit and work to meet all standards of practice.

Applicants should be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a Texas RN license (or compact license with Texas RN licensure within 90 days).

Qualifications

• Current BLS Certification is required.
• 1 year of clinical Inpatient Rehabilitation experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for assigned patients.
• Meet Standards of Practice for the Rehabilitation Unit and manage all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment.
• Participate in activities to plan, measure, assess and improve the quality of patient care.
• Instruct patients/families regarding the disease process.
• Complete admission paperwork specific to the Rehabilitation Unit.
• Participate in weekly patient care conferences as needed.
• Charge the unit as needed.

Job Summary And Qualifications

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients.
• You will be responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice for the Rehabilitation Unit and managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment.
• You will participate in activities to plan, measure, asses and improve the quality of patient care.
• Instructs patients/families regarding the disease process.
• You will be responsible for additional admission paperwork specific to the Rehabilitation Unit.
• You will participate in weekly patient care conferences, as needed.
• You will assume the responsibility of charging the unit, as needed.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
• Current BLS Certification are required.
• 1-year of clinical Inpatient Rehabilitation experience required
