Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking an Occupational Therapist for inpatient Rehabilitation to competently interpret the patient history and establish a plan of care that advances functional outcomes. You will document, reassess, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians and the care team.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, discharge planning, supervision of COTA and rehab technicians, staff orientation, and participation in quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• BLS certification per American Heart Association.
• Driver’s License only if in a Home Care department.
• Licensed OT in the State of Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient’s motor, cognitive, sensory integration and/or psychosocial function.
• Develop and implement plan of care based on evaluation findings.
• Educate patient and caregiver/family; discharge planning.
• Document evaluation, plan of care, progress, and discharge details.
• Supervise COTA and rehab technicians; participate in quality initiatives.
