Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse to join the patient care team on a medical-surgical unit. The RN will assess, plan, and deliver nursing care, coordinating with physicians, families, and other staff.

The successful candidate holds an Ohio nursing license (or interim permit) and a CCNE/ACEN-accredited nursing degree; prior medical-surgical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Inpatient Registered Nurse is responsible for managing care to the patient and family, and for directing and supervising the other members of the patient care team. He/she is responsible for assessing, prescribing, implementing, coordinating, delegating, and evaluating nursing care of patients. The RN prioritizes patient care needs and provides leadership and development of the patient care team. Individuals within this position must be able to function fully within performance expectations defined for nurses in a medical-surgical setting.

Required Qualifications

Degree inNursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit. *Experience in relevant care setting preferred.
